Organization Management
Organization Management in CloudHR allows you to define and structure your company before managing employees, payroll, attendance, and other HR operations.
This section helps you configure your company’s internal structure, which is required before creating employees.
What It Includes
Organization Management consists of the following components:
1. Legal Entities
Represents registered companies within your CloudHR account. Every employee must belong to a legal entity.
2. Business Units
Defines major divisions of your organization (e.g., Sales, Engineering, Operations).
3. Locations
Represents physical or operational office locations.
4. Departments
Organizes employees into functional groups within business units.
5. Designations
Defines employee roles or job positions within the organization.
Why This Setup Is Important
Before creating employees, CloudHR requires your organization structure to be configured.
These entities are used in:
- Employee Job Assignment
- Attendance Policies
- Leave Policies
- Payroll Processing
- Reporting
Without setting up your organization structure, employee creation will be incomplete.
Recommended Setup Order
To ensure a smooth onboarding process, follow this order:
- Create Legal Entity
- Add Business Units
- Add Locations
- Create Departments
- Define Designations
Once completed, you are ready to start creating employees.
